This policy explains how Top Jobs Abroad handles your personal data when you visit our website or apply for a role through us. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish data protection law.

Who we are (data controller)

What data we collect

  • Application data: your first and last name, email address, phone number (optional), your CV/resume, and any message you send us.
  • Usage data: if you accept analytics cookies, information about how you use the site (pages viewed, clicks, and — via session replay — how you interact with pages). See our Cookie Policy.

Why we use it and our legal basis

  • To provide our recruitment services — reviewing your application, matching you to roles, and contacting you about opportunities. Legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to a possible engagement, and our legitimate interest in operating a recruitment service.
  • To keep you in mind for future roles (our talent pool). Legal basis: your consent and/or our legitimate interest; you can opt out at any time.
  • To improve our website through analytics. Legal basis: your consent.

Who we share it with

We share your data only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract and only for the purposes above:

  • ManatalApplicant tracking system — stores your candidate profile and CV. (Outside the EEA (safeguarded by the provider’s standard contractual clauses).)
  • VercelWebsite hosting and short-lived storage of an uploaded CV while it is transferred to our ATS. (EU/USA)
  • PostHogProduct analytics and session replay — only loaded if you accept analytics cookies. (USA)
  • GoogleEmail (Gmail) and spreadsheets used to process applications; Google Analytics/Ads only with your consent. (EU/USA)
  • Meta (WhatsApp Business)Sending you interview invitations and follow-ups by WhatsApp, where you have provided a phone number. (EU/USA)
  • FilloutBooking forms used to schedule your first call with a recruiter. (USA)

We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some of the providers above are located outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, so your data receives an equivalent level of protection.

How long we keep it

We keep your application data (including your CV) for as long as it stays relevant to our recruitment services, and until you ask us to delete it. You can request deletion at any time — see “Your rights” below.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased (“right to be forgotten”);
  • restrict or object to our processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time (without affecting processing already carried out).

To exercise any of these, email hello@topjobsabroad.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, aepd.es) or your local supervisory authority.
